t^-6 * t= ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Input: t/t^6 Results: 1/t^5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was correct...thanks. just really can't think right now.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your welcome ^ ^ . <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a^-4)^3 would that be a^-12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Results: 1/a^12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh..so this type of math you have to invert the fractions or whatever?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by the way when i write it as "/" i mean it like a fraction bar :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what I thought. so I just tried (q^-5)^-3 and I got 1/q^15, but i said it was wrong...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean it, not i said...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have an Essay for example. and you were to write "1/q^15" as your answer you should also add that / = fraction bar so in that way your teacher won't get mix up if / means division. And we all know that * = Multiplication ;) - Flvs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x and * can be Multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do realize that much, just having trouble getting to the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's if your home schooled, if your in a regular public school then you can write it how it looks like in ca. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gottcha, I'm at college taking math online

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you need any other help please post it in a different question box ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks
