Check my work please ^^ Is this polynomial written in standard form? Orginal: 1. 3a^3b – 4ab^2 + a^2 Rewritten: 3a^3b + a^2 - 4ab^2

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

standard form means, the terms are in order from left to right in descending degree. in the original, the degrees would be 3+1, 2+1, 2 4, 3, 2 yours would be... 3+1, 2, 2+1 4,2,3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:O so it was already in standard form?

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

Yep. I do believe they like to toss in polynomials already in standard form into these kinds of problems, lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, thank you! Can you check my other one...I have feeling I got that wrong too >.<

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

I can check it. :)

2. –8x^2y^2 + 10xy^4 – 6x^2y I rewrote that as 10xy^4 8x^2y^2 - 6x^2y

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

That looks mostly correct to me. (there should be a minus sign between the 10xy^4 an 8x^2y^2, but it is the correct ordering)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I truly am thankful!

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

No problem! I am glad to help. :)
