Create your own quadrilateral on a coordinate plane. This figure may be a parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, square, trapezoid, isosceles trapezoid, or kite. Provide the coordinates of the vertices for the quadrilateral you designed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Provide the coordinates of a quadrilateral congruent to the quadrilateral you created. Explain why these figures are congruent. Provide the coordinates of a quadrilateral similar to the quadrilateral you created. Explain why these figures are similar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i came up with these coordinates but idk if they will work, (2,2), (2,4), (4,4), and (4,2) and then the same coordinates on the negative side?

OpenStudy (istim):

The figures are congruent because: Side lengths are the same; angles are the same.

OpenStudy (istim):

I haven't drawn your quadrilateral, but I think your method works.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so my answer would be: the coordinates are (2,2), (2,4), (4,4), and (4,2) for one square and (-2,2), (-2,4), (-4,4), and (-4,2) for my congruent square. but how can i explain that and how would i create and explain the the figuers for my "similar square"

OpenStudy (istim):

I answered that already! Lol. I'll repeat it again: The angles are the same, the side lengths are the same; maybe label a certain side "a" and a certain angle "A", just so the measurements aren't mixed up.

ok thank you, ill write again if i need more help with it :)
