what is the difference between DNA and RNA?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are the main differences: - RNA Made up of ribosome - DNA made up of deoxyribose -RNA uses the nucleotides of A, U, G and C -DNA uses the nucleotides of A, T, G and C -RNA is a single strang -DNA is a double helix

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are both nucleic acids made up of nucleotides, but their nucleotides are slightly different. DrDDII noted the main structural differences. Functionally, the DNA is like a comprehensive reference for the cell containing information for, most notably, making proteins. RNA is more of a "working copy" of just a small portion of DNA, instructions for making one (eukaryote) or a small group (prokaryote) of proteins.
