what is the slope of the line represented by x=-4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please show work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zero there really isnt any work to show x=-4 is jsut a value so it jsut makes a stright line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's has no slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=-4 is a vertical line, vertical line don't have any slope.. just remember that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Horizontal line have a slope of zero <-- that also comes in handy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope is rise over run.. in vertical lines, the rise is really high.. infinitely high, while there is no run.. so it'll be like x/0 which is undefined... so therefor it's no slope :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sandman1 it's not zero slope unless it's a horizontal line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah your right that was my fault i didnt think that one throught sorry @rememberwhen2012

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) It happens to me a lot too haha
