Y=-cos(x+Pi)+1

I need a step by step explanation please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-cos(x + pi)= cosx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you want exactly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get to that, please explain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I try to explain sorry for poor english I may have difficulty. imagine the Trigonometric circle: when you say x+pi you go after pi(180) or the third part of the circle.in that part the sign of cos is always NEGATIVE. so the result of cos(x+pi) is negative! I hope you get it =) again sorry for my poor english!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=-\cos(x+\pi)+1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you get what I said?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand...:)
