the volume=area * Height .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but whats the area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mmm. do u want to know the area of this (it's value) u wana to know the area in general..!!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The correct equation for the volume of a pyramid is 1/3 * the base area of the pyramid * the height. The base area is the edge length squared,

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

dunn is correct. it should be \[V={1 \over 3} B*h\]where \(B\) is the area of the base, and \(h\) is the height. Since the sides of the base are 10cm long, and the height is 6cm, \[V={1\over3}*10^2* 6 \;\; \text{cm}^3 =200 \;\;\; \text{cm}^3\]
