how would i use the quadratic equation for x^3+17x^2+72x-90 to find the other two zeros after i have already found one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question isnt asking me to factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide this equation by (x-1) you will get x^2+18x+90 then factorise it you will get remaining 2 factors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first zero i got was 1. so i would use -1 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no divide your equation by (x-1) because first zero you got at x=1 so (x-1)=0 after dividing you will get second order eqution solve it you will get the required solution
