Laws of Exponents

OpenStudy (ny,ny):

\[r ^{5}/g ^{-3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bases are differnet R and G so all you can do is put the answer with positive exponents put negative exponents on top to be positive and vice versa so what do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if these were the same base - you would subtract exponents just an fyi

OpenStudy (ny,ny):

to make the \[g ^{-3}\] in to a positive exponent I'd have to make it \[1/g ^{3}\] but then over all it would look like\[r ^{5}/ 1/g ^{3}\] right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct.

OpenStudy (ny,ny):

so that's the answer?
