Choose one of the circled fractions from Question 5. The circle means that this fraction cannot be simplified. For that fraction, show a way you could form a fraction that can be simplified if you were to change the denominator by eating a certain number of candies of another color. Example: The red candies make up 4/31 of Karen’s bag. This fraction cannot be simplified. But if she eats one blue candy, the fraction for red changes to 4/30, which can be reduced to 2/15.

well i need to know what the circles look like before i can help you. ok, lets see, after looking at the example, how about there are 17 logs in a pile. 8 of the logs are pinewood. that would make the fraction 8/17 which cannot be reduced. but someone takes a ash log off the pile and so that would be 8/16 of pine wood which reduces down to 1/2..... does that help at all?
