Highlight the sides of angle L in one color. Note that the sides whose union forms angle L. Then, look at the question. JL and what side of the triangle is not highlighted? That would be JK. So, JL and JK do not form angle L. That is the same thing as saying angle L is not included by sides JL and JK. Likewise, KL and JK do not form angle L. That is the same thing as saying angle L is not included by sides KL and JK.
