I need help with the slope of a line if the given points are (2,2) and (-2,-1)
Use the equation \[y_{2}-y_{1} \over x_{2}-x_{1}\]
2 is \[x_{1} \] 2 is \[y_{1}\] -2 is \[x_{2}\] -1 is \[y_{2}\]
So how do I put the numbers in the equation?
Post above ^^
So if you say that the equation is y2 - y1 / x2 - x1, then the problem is -1 - 2 / -2 - 2?
Yes
So that makes the answer -3 / -4?
Yup!
Awesome! Does it stay negative or turn positive?
Since both the numerator and denominator are negative, they both turn positive. So the answer is 3/4.
Thank you!
We're in a junior high math class and we thank you for your help!
No problem! ^_^
