what will be the amount of tonnage on the ground when a weight of 0.822 kg falls from a height of 1.5 mts. can anyone answer me.

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

What will be the speed of the weight when it reaches the ground? Hint: \[v ^{2}=u ^{2}+2gh\](u=0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the speed is 5.41 m/s or 19.5 km/hr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now can u please tell me what will be the tonnage when the object reaches the ground level

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi mani jha, can i wait for ur answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u there

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

Good. Now, the ground will exert such a force on the object such that its speed becomes zero. And the object will exert the same force on the ground. Such a force acts for a very small time, and is known as an impulse. You've to find the force; Force=(change in momentum)/time I am starting to think that the time should've been given.

ok. guide me how it works.
