I have a doubt about feedback. I know it is a process where information received from the activities is used to control such activies; I mean, the system control depends on the information produced by itself. But my question is - do nervous and sensitive system participate? Or is there the need of a receiver, processor and effector to take part instead? I know it sounds confusing, and I am quiet confused as well.

don't be confused it's simple when you think about it. Nervous system is more of how much pain you are enduring and sensitive system has a great deal on how you feel emotionally.

I don't know the specific answer (although I will certainly do some reading and get back to you about it). @exuras would have something good to say about this too. I do know that there is a lot of negative feedback control in turning off nerve impulses and a lot of positive control in propegating

Thanks very much, @blues, I didn't quiet understand the positive and negative feedback either, but now I do. This topic has really confused me :)

The picture i attached (selfmade from scanning book pages & resizing) illustrates the diffrent connections of neurons that exists, so positive/negative feedback exist on Neuronal level aswell. In this scenario positive feedback means, that a existing signal amplifies the stimuli of more signals of the same nature, up to a point where it reverts back to Negative feed back (for unknown reasons). Negative feedback means: A existing signal will reduce the output the stimuli of the initial signal. Now lets try this with hormonal negative feedback. |dw:1333114541612:dw| Yes i can't draw for sh*t. but i hope its comprehendible. Now this symbolises that the presence of Estrogen & Progesteron will inhibit the release of GnRH aswell as release of LH&FSH. So the existance of the desired product inhibits the release of more "Intermediate products" which would stimulate it's synthesis. Oxytocin is a excellent example. Where it's the sucktion of the nipple that stimulates the ejection of the milk, (aswell as production of PRH (prolactin releasing hormone) which increases the level of prolactin. If you take a look at the picture i attached below. http://resource.rockyview.ab.ca/t4t/bio30/images/m4/b30_m4_039_l.jpg It illustrates that the sucktion is the stimulti, which effect release. So the sucktion is this scenario is the positive feedback. It stimulates production of more hormones. Where in a negative feedback process it would have been the lack/reduced numbers of a hormone would have been the stimuli of a increased production. Any questions?
