To start with, do you know the basic differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells? I mean, do you know what a prokaryotic cell is vs. what a eukaryotic cell is? And do you know what the words themselves mean?

I see what Calliope is doing... giving lessons but not answers—good call, I'll do the same. =D (These kids have to learn on their own) So here's a clue, Examples of Prokaryotic cells are Amoebas and other bacterias. An example of a Eukaryotic cells are cells that are incorporated in your body, like Blood cells and Sperm/Egg Cells. You can find an answer from these clues.

Ok, so that's one point that you can mark off as false... let's look at the one above it. Do you think that's true or false?

Right, because different plants and animals (all of whom are eukaryotes) tend to have different numbers of chromosomes. I'm sure you're also aware of chromosome disorders in humans that lead to people having more or less than 23 chromosomes. Now let's look at the other two. With this information in mind, they should be easy enough.

Ok, I'm guessing you know what a chromosome looks like. What do you think? Does it look like a short, single strand of DNA or something more complicated? Umm..... no prokaryotic DNA isn't single stranded. DNA is double stranded regardless of prokaryotes, archaea, or eukaryotes. RNA is single stranded. What I think you mean to say is that bacterial DNA occurs in one long piece; but it is not by any means single stranded (except for during transcription/replication but that's besides the point)

My bad, seriously bad. I accept the correction on the Amoeba, yes, Amoebas are Eukaryote.

spatcher: it's good to clarify that. The original question does say a single strand OF DNA (i.e. a strand of double-stranded DNA, I assume), but it's easy to misinterpret.
