can anyone help me with either of these two questions? i am posting a picture of them in this
You have two linear equations in cos and sin. Solve them first.
first one solve \[3x-4y=-4\] \[4x+3y=-3\]
Multiply top equation by 3 and bottom one by 4, add. You will get an equation in cos(x) only. Then, you go solve for sin(x). Then, cot(x) is nothing but cos(x)/sin(x).
get \[x=-\frac{24}{25},y=\frac{7}{25}\] so cotangent is \[-\frac{24}{7}\] if i am not mistaken
second one locate \[\frac{13\pi}{2}\] on the unit circle
note that it is coterminal with \[\frac{\pi}{2}\] and the coordinates of that point on the unit circle are (0,1) take your answers from that point
THANKS SO MUCH
so i start at that coordinate and
so what does the triangle look like? i know its 1 going straight up but what/ how do i find out the other sides?
