Forces that are equal in size but opposite in direction are ____.
That sounds like one of Newton's Laws to me.
balanced forces frictional forces inertial forces net forces
Just looking at those answers, what do you think would make sense?
help anyone
i think it was net forces
I am helping you, but I'm not going to give you the answer. Look at the possible answers there, go through each one, and ask yourself whether that answer fits the question above.
I don't think net would work here. The net force if you had two forces of equal magnitude but opposite direction would be zero.
or balanced forces
Balanced makes sense :) You have a situation like this (poorly illustrated, I know): F1 = 5N <---[ object ]---> F2 = -5N So the net force is zero, and the two forces balance each other out.
so it was balanced forces thanks Calliope!:)
This is biology...? @.@
