You hear that a storm is moving at 15 km/h north. You have been given the storm's _____. constant speed velocity acceleration average speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

constant speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rob ..how can a storm have constant speed..?i thought of that first but i think it should be velocity...

OpenStudy (experimentx):

velocity .. there is speed(magnitude) as well as direction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly @experimentx

OpenStudy (experimentx):

to be exact ... speed is also given ... but more than that is given.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the speed of a storm is given is given as 15km/hr, it is assumed that 10 minutes later, with no additional information, that the storm is till moving at the reported speed earlier. From the point of view of a physics student, velocity is probably the answer.
