How do I express 150 degrees in radian measure accurate to 3 decimal places

OpenStudy (anonymous):

150 degrees is 5/6 of 1 pi. so just use your calculator and take 5*pi/6...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get 2.61

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.617

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok. Thank you so much @dpainc!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep... that's the decimal approximation of 5pi/6 in radians...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np... but why do you need a decimal approximation when 5pi/6 is more exact?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its one of the practice questions in my course, I suppose they wanted it that way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or maybe you're changing from degrees to radians or vice/versa? yeah that's prolly it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perhaps, Anyways, THank you so much for your help again:)!
