what are the advantages of python programming language?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lots of people use it, so there is a large codebase to draw from

It is easy to get started in, and has a high level of coherency which makes it very good for large teams to work together on, and for companies to phase out and phase in new team members. It is very quick to write, so you can get an app up and running a lot faster than most languages, and yes it has a very large and active community so support is endless, libraries sprout up like wildflowers, you'll never find yourself stuck with no where to go. That being said it is also a very capable language, also being an interpreted language has its advantages.

when you are talking about benefits specially in computer programming first you should point out what do you want to do ? and then what are the trade of ? no programming lang is better than the other , they are all made for some purposes , you can to anything and everything with a Turing complete programming lang , but some are better and more efficient in some jobs, if you need an advice to choose a programming lang I can tell you this just pick one of them no matter what its name is , but try to learn the process , syntax is nothing

I'm a newbie as far as Python is concerned and since I've only clocked a few hours my comments will be somewhat limited to what I know. The reason why I got interested in Python is to eventually make the hop to Android development and because I like learning programming languages. What I can say about this course is that irrespective of whether you end up using the language for your solutions, you will still learn some fundamental concepts such as data structures, etc that you can take with you to other languages. Python is available on a considerable number of platforms and is free. These are pluses. My comment against about Python is that as far as I know it lacks the IDE such as Visual Studio that really pampers you. For the record Microsoft's Visual Studio produces code that only works on Windows platforms. Hope this helps.
