what is e^-infinity? and what is e^infinity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 0 or 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

e^-infinity = 2.71...^-infinity = Zero and not one e^infinity = 2.71...^infinity = infinity remember e is a number.

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

You can regard \[e^{\infty} =\infty\]in most cases. Also, \[e^{-\infty}={1 \over e^{\infty}} = {1 \over \infty}=0\]Once again, this works for most purposes.
