OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i dont know how to explain factoring..i usually try and try until i succeed but ill try explaining... think of factors of 3...it's prime so there's only one..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you just guess and check?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

there is another way...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that is what I'm looking for :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know it?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hmm..i saw it from other people and i did learn it...it's kinda trial and error too but faster trial and error

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh do you know it accurately?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

accurately? you mean mastered? no...but i can use it sometimes...i saw it from @Hero maybe he can explain the technique better

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh hm. I just have I test coming up, and would like to know this so yeah lol.

hero (hero):

Hint: 3x^2 + 8x - 16 3x^2 + 12x - 4x - 16

hero (hero):

3x(x + 4) - 4(x + 4) (x+4)(3x - 4)

hero (hero):
