Does the following sentence say that nicotine is going into the person's body, or is to going from the body and into the device? "A popular medical approach to smoking cessation is the transdermal nicotine patch, a bandage-like patch that allows nicotine to be abosbred through the skin" Does this mean nicotine is going from device to skin, or nicotine is going from skin to device?
I believe its nicotine is going from device to skin. The evidence clearly replies to it.
"nicotine is going from device to skin" My reasoning is (that) the word 'absorbed' means to soak up or (to) consume. This implies the skin is a recipient.
