Write an equation of the line parallel to the line given by 3x − 2y = 8 and having the same y-intercept as the line given by 2y + 3x = −4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For a line to be parallel to another, they have to have the same slope but a different y int. So find the slope of the first equation, and y int of the second equation. Sub the slope of the first equation and the y int of the second equation into f(x) = mx + b to find the equation.
