I know almost nothing about Computer science and electronics, and would love to change that. Is there anything interesting online that has information on things like this?
By computer science and electronics, do you mean stuff about coding, or the hardware itself?
Coding of computers (or discrete maths in general) or hardware of electronics
you could try html.net It has some tutorials for html. If you're past that, you could just try a google search of learn (insert coding style name) online free, and you'll definitely get a few good results.
Codeacademy may also be useful to you. I am unsure if they are still allowing people to sign up.
also udacity.com New free courses start tomorrow!
Im an IT major check out www.freetechbooks.com they will tech you about anything you want to know in computer science.
JamesJ's link has a great CS101 online class, as well as a whole bunch of more advanced stuff as you progress http://coursera.org has a CS101 class too, and it will begin next week! http://cs50.tv and http://ocw.mit.edu are self-serve but they both teach you a lot http://6002x.mitx.mit.edu An online class for MIT"s Electric Circuits, although we are presently halfway through the syllabus. Excellent stuff in there.
I also recommend the coursera CS101 class for some basics, and then the SICP course from ocw (or if you're up for it, do the SICP right away). Another thing I would recommend is installing Linux in addition to whatever OS you have right now. For starters I recommend a distribution like Ubuntu. Just trying out things on the command line, using tools such as "grep" and so on, will get you on the right track. 6.002 might be a little heavy for a total beginner; it expects differential equations as pre-/co-requisite. Just get some kind of kit and build a traffic light out of LEDs.
