Mathematics 6 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line that has a slope of -2 and a y-intercept of -6.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

y = mx +b where m = slope; b = y-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have never gotten that.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

just substitute..you're given a slope and a y-intercept...so substitute your slope to the m...then the y-intercept to the b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-2x + -6?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

seems about right...but get rid of the + symbol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-2x-6

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

right! :D
