Medal for correct answer!!!!! Give the coordinates of two points on the line y = -2.
well u can use a graph! so can u graph y=-2 for me?
any point with a y coordinate of -2 satisfies y = -2 , so just pick a number x and the point would be: (a,-2) |dw:1334615909050:dw| eg (1,-2) , (6,-2) , (8,-2)
@eigenschmeigen yea but i think she means the ONLY x coordinate tht goes with y=-2..if u refer to the graph above then u see that the x=0 there...meaning tht the coordinate is 0,-2. but @eigenschmeigen is also right in his case:P
xD @karatechopper i dont understand what you mean, there are lots of points on the line y = -2
@eigenschmeigen what i mean by the point 0,-2 is tht maybe the person asking the question wants the x axis coordinate, this question is a bit vague
But the graph of "line y=-2" is a line that goes to infinity in either direction. So any answer of \[(-\infty,-2) \] to \[(\infty,-2)\] Satisfies the question of "two points on the line" because they are all on the line. They didn't state what point they want, just two points that are on it.
