What is the molarity of a solution prepared by dissolving potassium hydroxide (KOH) in some water and then diluting the solution to a volume of .5 L ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the mass of KOH?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The molar mass is 56.1g but they don't give us any mass in the original problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I can't figure out without a mass or number of moles of KOH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks for trying, I appreciate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The best I can do for you is write a generic equation for you \[\frac{n-moles}{.5L}=Molarity\] n is simply the number of moles

thank you, I got it now!!
