I am a biotechnology research student i am supposed to submit a resume so that i will get grants i am not able to figure out how to make my resume more attractive and impressive. if anybody can help?

I would suggest that you think about who will be reading your resume and what they want to see ideally. You should draw out the strengths that make these people interested - if they are looking to award grants then some award you got in the past would be interesting because it shows you wereworth giving money to in the past. So even if it was a travel grant for a conference or a summer project then get it near the top of the page. I would suggest tailoring your resume to each application because each will be slightly different. I hope this is useful, best of luck.

In the US, a Curriculum Vitae might be in order, not a resume. http://jobsearch.about.com/cs/curriculumvitae/f/cvresume.htm

@ebaxter01 @agreene if u can check my sample cv to what extent is it gud. do i need any change.

This will not affect your probability of getting a research grant, but perhaps a job at a prestigious establishment in the future, most prestigious uses the application origin from " http://www.originlab.com/ ". Might be a application worth learning in your freetime.
