Solve 4^x = 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

most would say 3 but thats wrong, its to the power of 3/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In (4^x) = In 12 x In4 = In 12 x = In 12/In 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x ≈ 1.79 x ≈ 0.56 x ≈ 0.27 x ≈ 19.93

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THOSE ARE THE OPTIONS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In 12/In 4 = 1,79 so the answer is 1,79

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This must be HomeworkEqualsDone.com Geez, all I gotta do is stick my problem in there and boom I get an answer? Awesome, I don't have to learn anything at all!

melissaneedshelp? or melissaneedsaHomeworkLackie?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just take natural logarithms of two terms, then you can easily find x. In (4^x) = In 12 x In4 = In 12 x = In 12/In 4 = 1,79

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

just use wolfram alpha https://www.wolframalpha.com/

Not being negative. Slapping answers on these Q's is considered a (mild) form of abuse, so I recently have come to find out. I'm helping you not get reported.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This site is for study, not instant solutions. You want to learn how to do it, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright Dude.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not just plug in your problem and share the solution...right? Trying to help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

@melissaneedshelp do you get how to solve this now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
