Each of the diagonals of a rectangle intersect at 60 degrees. Each diagonal is 12 cm long. Find the area. Since it says 60 degrees, does that mean I can't use the Pythagorean thereon to find the missing side? How would I do this?

Yes, so i'm not able to use pythagorean thereom because there are no right angles. Since I cant, then what can I use?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the diagonals intersect each other so each half is 6 cm long you can use cosine rule on the triangles - are you familiar with trigonometry?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol - does that mean yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, thank you. I was so confused but now I know how to do it
