hey what about (-3,-5) and (2,5)? midpoint?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got -4,3.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wouldn't the mid point of 5 and -5 be 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

midpoint is (-3+2)/2 , (-5+5)/2 = (-1/2, 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please explain how you got this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He explained it already. :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take both the y coordinates and add them together then divide it by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is your y mid point now do the same thing for your x coordinates

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but my y-coorinates are 2 and 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, your y coordinates are 5 and -5. Coordinates are in the standard (x,y) format.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

coordinate (a,b):- a = x coordinate and b = y coordinate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay i see thanks!
