i really dont know how to explain this can any one help with this question:Explain what it means when we say a substance is magnetic.

that's not correct. An object can be magnetic without having any electric charge. A compass needle is an example. If an object is magnetic, then by definition this means the material of the object has some sort of (non-zero) magnetic field. This in turn means - the object will influence other materials that are amenable to magnetic fields, such as a bar magnet attracting iron filings - the object will be influenced by other magnetic fields, such as a compass needle moving to align itself with the earth's magnetic field.

Any Substance having properties of magnet that is of Permanent magnet (I think named as Magentile)
