explain the difference between instantaneous speed and average speed

OpenStudy (experimentx):

suppose you are riding bike ... at some time you look your speedometer, that is your instantaneous speed. You ride for an hour and cover 'x' miles. And you calculate your rough speed. speed = x miles/ 1 hour <---- average speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, ok, would that be the same concept for Instantaneous velocity and and acceleration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes hobbes it is the same average and istantaneous concept it is for calculating the instantaneous speed/v/acc that we developed differentiation at that time interval

Cool, thank you Salini!
