A manufacturer of bicycles has 5050 wheels, 3013 frames and 2455 handlebars. a. How many bicycles can be manufactured using these part? b. How many parts of each kind are left over?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess you need two wheels right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so take half of the number of wheels you are given. think you will find it is the smallest of the numbers given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how ? :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

half of 5050 is \(5050\div 2=2525\) so i was mistaken, you have fewer handlebars

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

the limit of the bycylces are thehandlebars, as they are in lesser quantities than any others 5050/2 =2525 > 2455 a. 2455

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i guess you can make 2455 bikes all together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh :)

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

b. 5050 -2455*2 wheels, 3013 - 2455 frames and 0 handlebars

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u just take the rest subtract 2455 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hihi, thank you :)
