A linear function has a constant slope, or a constant change in y. Look at the x column first. Do you see that the x changes by the same amount every time? Cool! So that means that, if the function is linear, I should see the y also change by the same amount every time. Check to see if it does.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait... I got something else. THe slope was different for each

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For instance, the slope between the last two points was 2/7, or 1/3.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But the slope between the second to last and third to last points was 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So no, I don't think it's linear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what i thought ^.^ thank you both <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My pleasure =D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant award both of you anymore? lame.
