a point charge ( Q= -10x10^-6 c) is at a centre of a metallic sphere that has a redius of 20 cm . the electric field .5 m away from the center of the sphere is found to be -432 N/c . what is the charge density on the metallic sphere ????

OpenStudy (experimentx):

you know the answer??

OpenStudy (experimentx):

also is shpere grounded??

Find the net charge by using coulombs law.. Then subtract it from the point charge.. this value would be the amount of charge present on the surface of the sphere.. Using charge/area find surface charge density
