Please help? What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (4, 1) and is perpendicular to the line y = –2x + 4?

OpenStudy (marco26):

Get the slope pf the line y=-2x+4 and find its negative reciprocal. Then, use the point slope formula to find the equation of the line. If I remember it right this is it: y-y1=m(x-x1). Use the obtained negative reciprocal of the slope of the line y=-2x+4(because the equation of the line required is perpendicular to this line). Plug-in the given values you'll get the answer

Thank you!;)
