Fact or Opinon...Explain Please ? :) Thank you. Drama is intended to be performed on the stage.

An opinion can be refuted by another opinion, while a fact cannot be debatable. For example, I could say, "Turkeys are meant to be eaten." Some people may believe in this, while others do not eat turkey. A fact is like saying "The grass outside my dorm is green." You cannot debate this fact. I can provide a picture of this green grass, and you cannot refute it. Reply if you have any questions.

I believe this is an oppinion because not only do we see drama in plays, poems, stories etc. we have "drama" in our everyday lives.

This would definitely be an opinion. Even I have debated this question with myself and others, and no one seemed to fully agree.

*sorry - that may have seemed obscure. What I meant was - Even I have debated the opinion that you posted (Drama is intended to be performed on the stage.) with myself and others, and no one seems to fully agree.

I think the core of the question lies in the word "intended". When you write a drama, presumably you write in that form so your writing can be performed. Here is a definition from wiki: "Drama is the specific mode of fiction represented in performance." So I'd say that by virtue of the fact that you're writing in a form that implies future performance, it's a fact that the intention of a writer of drama is that their piece be performed at some point.

An opinion.
