OpenStudy (lin.ivory):

how can I simplify: sin(Π+x)-sin(Π-x)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you can expand both using the sum and difference of angles \[\sin(A \pm B) = \sin(A) \cos(B) \pm \sin(B)\cos(A)\] find the value if \[\sin(\pi) \] and simplify

OpenStudy (lin.ivory):

that`s what I did, I expanded it into \[(\sinΠcosx+\cosΠsinx)-(\sinΠcosx-\cosΠsinx)\] so sinΠcosx and sinΠcosx are cancelled out (minus) then I don`t know what to do... =(

OpenStudy (experimentx):

sin(pi + x) = -sin(x) sin(pi - x) = sin(x)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you need to be careful and 1st fine the value of \[\cos(\pi)\] and substitute it
