I asked a very similar question a week ago. I'm just finishing up my project and noticing my numbers don't match up. What I have to do is write a formula for optimum volume of a cylinder under this condition height- diameter is greater then 0 What I'm going to do is put in a different radius into this formula to get the largest volume. What I had before was pi*r^2*(180-2*pi*r) I figured out that doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure this is wrong. But would pi*r^2*(2r-2*pi*r) be correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm I think I may have actually gotten it. pi*r^2*(2*pi*r-2r)

Though I'm not too sure...
