write the equation -2x=-4y+12 in slope-intercept form. Also label the slope and y-intercept.
I've don the slpoe form already. But for the slope i get 1/2 and for y intecept i get 15 is this correct? for the slope and y intercept?
How did you get 15 when x is 0?
I had also did another step and wasn't sure
Slope intercept form is y=mx+b so the slope is:\[y=\frac{-2x - 12}{4} \rightarrow y=\frac{-1}{2}x - 3\] To find the y intercept you put x = 0, so you get:\[y=\frac{-2x-12}{4} \rightarrow y=\frac{0-12}{4} \rightarrow y=-3\]
Looks like I missed the - on the 4. Should be: \[y=\frac{−2x−12}{-4} →y=\frac{0−12}{-4}→y= 3\]
okay I see. You divide everything by to to get y by it's self
Yes, you need to in order to put it in the proper format.
by -4 i meant
Yep, you got it.
thanks
