A cell is bounded by plasma membrane and that contains concentrated chemicals in an aqueous solution what is the concentrated chemicals? and what is the aqueous solution?
Hm..is any more info provided?
no... The full sentance is - A cell is a highly organized compartment that is bounded by a thin, flexible structure called plasma membrane and that contains concentrated chemicals in an aqueous solution
Oh - I see what you're asking now. Essentially the cell consists of the outer membrane, inner structures known as organelles, and the cytosol - the cytosol is the aqueous solution with the various chemicals mixed within. The cytosol is referred to as an aqueous solution simply because 70% of it is water. The various chemicals mixed inside include ions such as sodium and potassium...a more complete list can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cytosol#Ions These ions and other chemicals function in a wide variety of roles...but essentially, they maintain homeostasis (stable internal conditions) for the cell. Hope that helps!
