The electric heater in a tea kettle delivers 1050W to the water. If the kettle contains 0.9L of water initially at room temperature (20) degrees celcisus, what's the time until the water begins boiling?

u'll have 2 add up the heats req.d ... first the water absorbs enough energy to get elevated to a temp. of 100 degrees (use Q=(mass)(sp.heat of water) *(delta)Temp.) and the this 100 degrees water absorbs further heat (latent heat of vapourisation) to convert to vapour. (use Q=mL(mass*latent heat of vap.)does this help???
