Ok guys, I have a super simple question here. Yet no one in class can figure it out. Per these instructions: "Add a blank paragraph at the beginning of the document and on this first line, search for a Clip Art image using the search word border. Do not include Office.com content. Insert the image of the yellow wavy line with a round blue swirl on either end. For your reference, the image is included with the project starting materials with the file name w02_border.WMF." We are instructed to insert a "blank paragraph" at the beginning of the Word Document. The only way I know of doing that
Are you doing this in Word?
Yessir
I believe the rest of my question isn't entirely visible. The rest should read: "is by presing enter. Do any of you know any other way of producing a "blank paragraph"?"
Short of being able to add a paragraph formatting symbol I would say that pressing the enter key would suffice.
I agree with you, but this is an automatically graded assignment and pressing enter doesnt seem to be recognized. Must be a bug in the grader softare. Thank you for your input. Much appreciated.
Any time. :)
If anyone else has any suggestions they would also be appreciated. Thanks!
You can try to issue the ASCII code for the blank line. On windows system, it uses the CR & LF character. In Li/Unix it is just the LF character. I don't remember what it is on the mac. Also, you can try the Ctrl-M (^M) also. Any of these will get you the "blank line" you are seeking. If you are on a PC, you can hold the "Alt" key and using the numeric keypad enter the decimal value of the ASCII code. If you are using Word, Shift-Enter also works for new line. Give these a try. Hope this helps. Thanks.
