Detailed description of how water is made!?!? I mean do they just throw some Hydrogen in a jar and Toss some Oxygen in there? lol

It's not like I'm trying to make water or anything, just that we were assigned an equation, each differently and I was assigned H+OH=H2O but our teacher asked for a detailed description of how we would make it step by step

sam (.sam.):

It has to do with covalent bonding, Eg Hydrogen bonds in water molecule, water molecules also have cohesion and adhesion forces, water molecules tends to stick together by dipole forces and you can see water drops comes by "lumps" because of high difference in electronegativity . |dw:1336107174349:dw| We know that water is neutral, means its not acidic or basic. because based on Arrhenius definition H+ is acidic, and OH- is basic, so they both cancel out when forming water \[H^+ (aq) + OH^− (aq) \leftrightharpoons H_2O (l)\]
