Tanya has ten bills in her wallet. She has a total of $40. If she has one more $5 bill than $10 bills, and two more $1 bills than $5 bills, how many of each does she have? (There are two ways of working this problem. See if you can do it both ways.) EXPLAIN IT.

hmm first im gonna ask you...what are the bills in her wallet?

I like to try to make equations when solving these problem. 40=10n+5(n+1)+1(n+3) Solve for n. Then figure out how much n is where. n= 2 So you plug n into the parenthesis and you find there are 2 10 dollar bills 3 5 dollar bills and 5 1 dollar bills. I hope I helped.

You're way off luis rivera if there was 12 ten dollar bills you'd have 120 dollars. WOW just wow lol
