\[\text{What happens if you multiply 8 by} \space \frac{x+4}{x+4} \space ? \]
it would be 8x+32 right?
For the numerator, yes. Then you would have: \[\frac{8x + 32}{x+4} + \frac{x-1}{x+4}\] Now what do we do?

You can only do that when you have two fractions on opposite sides of an equal sign.
