A Ca2+ ion is smaller in size than a neutral Ca atom. True False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

JFraser, is your real name Jordan Fraser?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

What happens to the number of electrons when you turn a calcium atom into a calcium ion? What happens to the "strength" that the protons pull on the electrons?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

no, it's not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay just curious. And also I have basically NO knowledge about Chemistry along the lines of bonding and chemicals (formulas and actual names).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^^ Then I suggest you try to get some? Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't have the resources for that. No textbook and no teacher. I answer a majority of my quiz questions by myself but you know I come on here to ask questions that I no nothing about, hoping that on OPEN STUDY someone would like to give an answer and explain how it is that answer so that I can also learn for further questions that are similar. Idk just assuming thats what OPEN STUDY.COM is about. Studying and learning.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also the answer is true, thanks for the 'help' guys.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol why the special reference to help? Um. Why no teacher? I wasn't trying to show attitude or aiming for insult.. just making a suggestion. And last time I checked, I made no reference to the original purpose/use of openstudy.... lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Btw it's true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already got the answer, thanks though. And thats fine. No teacher because I'm in credit recovery program because the school I go to never gave me Chemistry as a class and I need it to graduate. This class is on a computer and there is no instructor, so I'm teaching myself.
