How do i study for a cell labeling test? we have to label animal and plant cells. I have a test on it tomorrow, but have no clue how to study -_-
you can google some images of cell under light microscope. You have to know how to label nucleus, rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, golgi apparatus, chloroplast(plant), cell wall (plant). maybe wikipedia gives you some idea on how these organelles look like under microscope. if you have time, you can try draw some simple sketch of cell and its organelles. Don't have to be too perfect but for your own understanding. i have to admit that i hate microscopic drawing where i have to see all different cell types with similar shape and i am asked to draw the cells out. However, if they give you a diagram it should be ok.
To add onto what @yukitou already mentioned - maybe you could try filling out some practice diagrams like these: http://www.windsorct.org/sagelepak/images/PlantCellBLANK.JPG If you post up your answers here, I'm sure someone online would be willing to help check your work.
Draw pictures of both cell types -- if you can draw them and label them, from memory, then you'll have no problem with the test! This is also helpful if you get confused - simply draw your cells, with labels, and refer to them, during the test (or do this as soon as the test starts). I've done this with complex but visual info - like the Krebs cycle or biochemistry and found that it works well, though you'll find that you have to draw them over and over and... before they stick.
thank you :) ill deff. try all of these!
